Welcome to Bake Make Escape! Not sure what to write for my first post, so thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Samantha and I’m a tea loving(obsessed with chai), literally have multiple cups a day, bunny owner, and will be going back to school to be a preschool teacher.
My life is rather stressful, lots of family drama. So I’m using this blog as a way to help me find ways to relax. I went with bake, make and escape because they are my outlets for dealing with the stress.
Bake something, make something and when all else fails escape. Traveling is such a nice way to get out of the every day rut. Even if it’s just a weekend trip or one night spent camping, I feel much better when I come back.
I’m in a baking mood, and I’ll be posting about my creations next week over April break. Planning on making macarons for Easter, either strawberry or lemon. We’ll see how they turn out. Also thinking of making a nice garlic bread. Feeling more confident in that than the macarons!
I mentioned the bunny, this is him below. He’s a cutie but can occasionally be a little monster. Lately he’s been waking me up at night running around the room and jumping on the bed. I’ve had him six years now and he’s a wonderful companion to have. I might try my hand at making rabbit treats too, let’s see where the week takes me.
So welcome to Bake Make Escape! Hopefully you can find some good tips and tricks for baking, crafting and traveling or learn from my mistakes.
